NBR® care guide.

so you’ve left the salon and are loving your new extensions. now what? follow these instructions and tips to keep your extensions looking their best.

Washing

✶ before washing in the shower, be sure to brush your extensions with a detangling brush. this helps prevent deep tangling and matting - (ouch!).

✶ to prolong your hair extensions and color, be sure to wash with a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner.

✶ shampoo gently in between your extension rows, making sure to avoid any vigorous scrubbing.

✶ after washing, apply a leave in conditioner+oil combo before brushing your hair.

✶ while brushing wet hair, start from the ends and work your way up to the scalp. Hold the hair in one hand in a ponytail style and brush down.

Styling

✶ rough dry your hair 80% dry. avoid tugging on your extensions with a comb or a brush and use your hands or fingers instead.

✶ above info applies to your DRY BAR visits as well. make sure to communicate to your stylist to NOT round brush your hair from start to finish.

✶ once your hair is rough-dry, you may use a round brush and a small amount of tension to smooth out your hair and extensions during the last few minutes of your blow-dry.

✶ when curling your extensions, be sure to use a heat protector and to run the curling iron through the extension hair once or twice before adding curls. This will close the cuticle of the hair, prolong the life of your extension hair, and give you a polished look.

Sleeping

✶ before getting your beauty sleep, brush the extension hair and apply some hair oil.

✶ lastly, style your hair in a loose bun or braid and voila you’re ready for bed!

a few last tips...

✶ if you notice excess tangling or hair shed, please contact your stylist as there are quick fixes when addressed right away.

✶ you can hit the beach and have a fun night out - life with NBR extensions doesn’t stop. just treat them gently to keep them looking their best.

✶ never let sunscreen or suntan oil touch the extension hair (especially blondes) as this can turn the hair a peachy color.
